I paint because I have a need to use color and design elements in my life. Inspiration for each painting can come from the colors of a flower or of a sunset, or the reflections in a body of water or just from the need to work with a certain color palette.

Works are produced by intuitively pouring liquid acrylic paint onto the medium. I add layers of color and manipulate the movement by using  the laws of gravity until I can feel a satisfactory resonance can image an abstracted landscape. The traces of the movement are purposely left visible to show the process. By incorporating a wet-on-wet technique, the work embraces the surrealist approach of accepting chance happenings. The image is left ambiguous to allow individual interpretation.
